Pre-Employment Requirements

The following are the minimum driver requirements for pre-employment qualifications as a tractor / trailer driver candidate with Country Wide Transport Services, Inc. and its related companies.

Country Wide is dedicated to providing a quality of life for our professional drivers, a cut above the rest. Therefore our requirements are higher and we expect a higher quality driver than the average trucking company. Below is a brief description of our requirements, as with any employment we will conduct an exhuastive background check that includes previous drug screenings, employment history, driving record, criminal background checks, etc.



  1. 21 Years of age
  2. Must have a minimum of 1 Year verifiable experience operating a tractor / trailer
  3. Must be currently employed
  4. Current employment must be not less than 1 year continuous with the same employer
  5. Current employment responsibilities must be that of a tractor / trailer driver as defined below.
  6. No moving violations in the past 1 year.
  7. No more than 1 moving violation in the past 2 years.
  8. No serious violations (15+ MPH over the posted speed limit).
  9. No chargeable accidents in the past three years.
  10. No felony convictions.
  11. Must be able to pass company physical and drug screen.
  12. Subject to all DOT background checks and hiring requirements.
  13. Must undergo an extensive driver orientation program prior to employment.
